Audiovisual Thinking

Audiovisual Thinking is the world’s first journal of academic videos about audiovisuality, communication and media.



Audiovisual essays should address the theme of each issue and deal with one or more of following subjects (the list in not exhaustive and we welcome all submissions that fall within the subject area):
  • Reflections of the use, methods advantages and disadvantages of the academic audiovisual essay
  • The future of audiovisuality in academia
  • The merits of audiovisual mediation in a mass media context
  • Uses of audiovisual materials for research and documentation
  • How to develop robust and rigorous audiovisual research methods
  • Applications of audiovisuality in the class room and online.
